Javea / Xàbia, a popular tourist enclave full of attractions

Javea,Xábia,is a tourist and seafaring town of the Costa Blanca,located between the Cabos de San Antonio and La Nao, sheltered by the impressive Montgó massif.

It has a population of 29,923 inhabitants, INE 2007, of which 53.1% are foreign nationals.

In its entirety and in each of the three environments in which it is divided: La Villa, El Puerto and El Arenal,the population maintains the balance between the important traces of the civilizations that chose it as a settlement and the modernity of being an important tourist destination.

Within the historical center, La Villa, we have the Town Hall,the Market of Supplies,the Center of Culture,the Archaeological and Ethnological Museum and the Chapel of Santa Ana. Two kilometers from the Villa we find the Port,the marine and port area of Javea, also known as the Customs of the Sea, where we find the Church of Our Lady of Loreto and the fish market. In the area of El Arenal we find the National Parador,the only one on the Costa Blanca, and Playa del Arenal with its attractive promenade.

Javea has 20 kilometers of coastline from the Cova Tallá to Cala de la Granadella. A coastline of beaches and coves linked by a network of viewpoints. Without forgetting the majestic Montgó that protects the municipality and narrows its borders with Denia.Javea is rich in festivals with its Bonfires of San Juan, Moors and Christians,The bulls "Bous a la Mar",the Mariner Procession to the Virgen del Carmen and its Living Chess declared of National Tourist Interest. Golf, tennis, diving, yacht club, hiking, shooting, and many more sport in Javea.
